Today I remember a dear friend, mentor, and teacher, Father Paschal Cheline, OSB (1936-2015), who inculcated me with a love of and reverence for all things liturgical. Mary, called Magdalene, Joanna, Susanna, and many others—the women who accompanied Jesus and the Twelve as they journeyed from one town and village to another. These courageous women continued to follow Jesus and were witnesses to his death and resurrection.
Lord Jesus Christ, grant us the grace to follow you wherever you go, just like these faithful women. Increase our faith. Help us to do your will. Amen.
