Double FaceBronze, by Giacomo ManzùOstia Antica, Italy

In today's Collect at Mass, we pray: 'Clothe us, Lord God, with the virtues of the Heart of your Son, and set us aflame with his love...' The heart of Jesus, one of mercy and forgiveness. Living and true God, set us aflame with your love. Our reading at Morning Prayer was from 1 Co 13:1-7. Fitting words for reflection on a Friday.
O God, you have made us in your image. As you forgive, may we forgive; as you restore, may we restore; as you love, may we love, through Christ our Lord. Amen.(Prayer for Morning, Magnificat, August 2018, p. 257)
