Wednesday of the Thirty-Fourth, or Last, Week in Ordinary Time

Readings of the Day
RB: Ch 48:10-21
Mass: Rev 15:1-4; Resp Ps 98; Lk 21:12-19

Let the rivers clap their hands, and the mountains shout with them for joy.
We pray for perseverance as Jesus tells the crowd: By your perseverance you will secure your lives (Lk 21:19).
We cannot truly follow Jesus when we are weighed down by things, because if the heart is crowded with other goods, there will be no room for the Lord, who will become just one thing among others.(Pope Francis, Twitter, November 28, 2018)
One way to make space in our heart for the Lord is to sing with those who persevered, 'those who had won the victory over the beast and its image' (Rev 15:2).
Great and wonderful are your works, Lord God almighty. Just and true are your ways, O king of the nations. Who will not fear you, Lord, or glorify your name? For you alone are holy. All the nations will come and worship before you, for your righteous acts have been revealed.(Rev 15:3-4)
O PRAISE THE LORD, ALL YOU NATIONS, FOR HIS MERCIFUL LOVE TOWARDS US IS GREAT.(Communion Antiphon, Mass)
